The Anadarko Community Library provides the public use of the Hollytex Community Room. The room sits approximately 75 people. To book a meeting in the room please contact Ruth @ 247-7817.
Who May Use the Hollytex Community Room? Community groups for educational, cultural, and civic purposes may use the community room. The use of the facilities for purely social, partisan political or commercial purposes is not permitted without prior approval by the Library Board. Library programs and related activities are given priority. No library program will be planned for a reserved time after a reservation has been confirmed with Ruth @ City Hall.. No one under twenty-one (21) may reserve the room.
Who May Attend These Meetings? All meetings held in the facility are free and open to the pubic. Functions sponsored by the Anadarko Community Library, Friends of the Anadarko Community Library, Caddo County Genealogy Society are exceptions. Other exceptions may also be made for activities sponsored by non-profit organizations. NO ADMISSION FEES MAY BE CHARGED.
How Many Times Can I use The Hollytex Community Room? Groups may reserve the library meeting rooms for one meeting at a time for up to six months in advance. The library will not become a regular meeting place for any organization except groups specifically sponsored or organized by the library. Multiple meetings may be scheduled only at the discretion of the City Hall.
Smoking, the use of tobacco, or the use of alcoholic beverages is not allowed anywhere in the library or in its meeting rooms.
The Anadarko Community Library has some audio-visual equipment available for use. THE GROUP USING THE AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROPER CARE OF SUCH EQUIPMENT AND WILL BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM IMPROPER OPERATION OR NEGLIGENCE.
Groups are responsible for setting up the room to meet their needs. Decorations may be set up, but nothing is allowed that will damage or mar the room in any way. Light refreshments may be served. Any lost or damaged furniture or equipment becomes the responsibility of the sponsoring group. Groups are responsible for maintaining the room in a clean and orderly manner and for returning tables and chairs to their original arrangements.
ALL SCHEDULED MEETINGS which run after regular library hours must conclude by 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Sponsors of meetings which involve retaining library personnel after those hours should expect to pay a designated fee to cover those expenses. The current amount determined by the City of Anadarko is $50.00 after hours charge plus $25.00 cleaning deposit (which is refundable) for a total of $75.00.
The use of the facilities by an organization does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of that organization's policies or beliefs.
